Hello World! It’s a great day here in Colorado! It’s a snowy day but a beautiful day! Today, I want to share a new love of mine, reading! I use to hate to read, as a child, young adult. I just wasn’t that person that loved reading. Although I did read some, (very little) I just didn’t enjoy it. I read my Bible and would read books to my children at bed time but that was about it. A few months ago I wanted to use something besides my phone at night for some down time. After the children are all nestled in their beds for the night, I wanted something I would enjoy to wind down. I would have never thought of reading. My sister just loves to read and I was the total opposite. She would always have a book in her hand. I would always be outside and was always very active. So reading just wasn’t my thing. But I had heard a few friends of mine mention several books and how refreshing and relaxing it was. I was totally into trying this. I purchased a couple of the books that were referred. I discovered a whole new world! The mystery, the anticipation, the excitement of a book is a new love for me! It’s such a calm, relaxing way for me to wind down for the night. I really think I sleep better as well. I’d never thought that I would be a reader, but you discover so many possibilities if you are just ready to try something new. I love it! I have throughly enjoyed it. I want to share a few books with you. If you are a reader or not, try some of these! It will take you a whole new journey.
Now, I just love the show Fixer Upper, one of my favorites. So when I discovered that they had a book out that revealed how it all started, I jumped on board and bought the book. I love it! It is so encouraging to read how the show started and the struggles but their determination to never give up. Another great book that I can’t wait to get my hands on is, Becoming the Woman God Wants Me to be. I have heard so many good things about this book. I truly want to be the woman that God wants me to be. I will be buying this book soon. I can’t wait to get my hands on it. (link in the pic)

I absolutely love devotional books. My 3 year old loves to be read to and so do her siblings. Here’s a great children’s devotional book to read to your children any time. Another great devotional book for women that I can’t wait to get my hands on, Too Blessed to be Stressed! Amen! I use to say this all the time in my manager’s meetings back when I use to be one of the managers at Hampton Inn. I love it! I have heard so many good things about this book. I’m so excited to read a book that the title has so much power in it. I just can’t wait to order it! Mother’s Day is just around the corner and any of these books would be a great gift. If you are into that farmhouse look like myself, here’s a great one, A Touch of Farmhouse Charm. I definitely need some pointers in this area. Oh, I just love the farmhouse look but I’m not good at decorating. I need some guidance and I believe this book will help with that. I know I strive and want to be a great wife to my husband and I’m looking forward to reading this one. In every area in our lives we can use improvement. Not one of us is perfect and fail many times but what a great book for encouragement and improving in our marriages.
